It's been a while since I blogged. Blame it on last weeks of school, preparing my kids for testing, dance review, piano recital and Shakespear plays...why do school and after school programs wait until end of May-early June to dump everything on our laps?
Anyway, it's over...thank goodness. My munchkins closed school on Wednesday.
Since I finish my last romance wip which I totally loved...okay so I fall in love with all my heroes and heroines, shoot me...I decided to take time off writing adult romance and do something different to rejuvinate my creative juice.
Out came KRISS(keris) DAGGER, the YA story about a sixteen year old girl with an orthodox upbringing by a circus-performing grandfather. Constantly moving and never making lasting friends, she's a little insecure but gutsy, an outsider who'd love to be an insider until she realizes being an outsider has its perks. She soon learns that everything is not as it seems and goes through a lot to find herself, love and purpose.
I'm talking about Nephilim like the nephil below (half-human half angels) and Daemon-hunters, Guardians and many more

I've two chapters to go and epilogue to go , yahooooo. I hope to wrap things up in the next two weeks so I can start sending queries to agents then start book two or the romance of the second brother from my last romance WIP. It all depends on the response I get

Considering the popularity of fantasy and paranormal books these days, your YA sounds like a hit. Get it out there ASAP. Have you heard anything from SC?

No word from SC for months then I got an e-mail from last week that the manuscript is with the editor who promised to read it in the next two weeks...here's to hoping.
