To be Thankful

There's so much I have to be thankful for and no better time to share them with friends than during this holiday.

1)I'm thankful for a wonderful husband who's supportive and works hard through everyday trials to take care of his family. He's my number one hero.

2) Healthy, loving children who appreciate their family, love who they are, try to work hard at everything they do and give me enough headache so I don't forget that raising them was never mant to be easy.

3) My health. I've been able to take care of myself physicaly without major ailment...except acid reflux disease which is how my body deals with stress.

4) Spiritual well-being which is a result of my personal relationship with God. I'm too disillusioned with organized religion or churches and don't belong to any. Whether you call him God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Allah, Mungu...we're all God's children.

5) To be able to pursue something I love, writing.

Have a fun time this Thanksgiving and eat wisely, or walk it off.

Wonderful news

No, the news is not about me or my wip , but every time a struggling writer gets the call, replace that with a contract, I feel a tingle. No, it's not the green-eyed monster at my heel, more like a giddy feeling at the possibilty of something like than happening to me. You know, a book cover with my name at a publisher's website, stuff we writers dream, drool, and stress about.

Anyway, this past weeks several of my critique partners got THE CALL from a wonderful publishing house and I just had to blog about it. Jennifer and Dawn, way to go, ladies. Can't wait to see your covers and names at Samhain Publishing website. Other critique partners got requests for a full, a partial, won contests or finalized...no names, you know who you are, don't want to jinx anything. They are all so talented and wonderful writers, and I'm so happy to have shared critiques with them.

Thought I'd share. Now back to writing.
